Lightning & Earthing Materials

Lightning Protection System

In this constantly changing concrete contemporary world, new structures like buildings, hospitals, airports, hotels, and towers, etc. are being constructed every flash of a minute. But these heights of structures are inviting the risk of lightning strikes. For the purpose of protection, a lightning protection system is the only solution.

A metal rod which is commonly known as a lightning rod is mounted on a structure with a motive to protect the structure from a lightning strike. It is the single and the only component in a Lightning Protection system. This rod needs to be connected to the earth to perform its protective function. The main attribute common to all lightning rods is that they are all made of conductive materials, such as copper and aluminum.

KASproc Technologies offers such kind of Lightning Protection turnkey solutions by sourcing from the best and highly trusted entities in this space.

Earthing System

A well structured and suitably designed Earthing system is the primary mode of protection for any variant of electrical/electronic installation from destructive fault current. The grounding/earthing system offers a low impedance path to the fault current resulting in the safety of personnel and equipment. The electrical earthing is done by connecting the non-current carrying part of the equipment or neutral of the supply system to the ground. Mostly, the galvanised iron is used for the earthing. The earthing provides a simple path to the leakage current. The short circuit current of the equipment passes to the earth which has zero potential.

KASproc Technologies aims at incorporating a collaborative and rigorous approach while providing procurement services. We are a one-stop solution for all Lightning & Earthing requirements.
